===== The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz (2014) =====

**English:** The Internet's Own Boy depicts the life of American computer programmer, writer, political organizer and Internet activist Aaron Swartz. It features interviews with his family and friends as well as the internet luminaries who worked with him. The film tells his story up to his eventual suicide after a legal battle, and explores the questions of access to information and civil liberties that drove his work.

**Czech:** Aaron Swartz už od dětství miloval počítače. Z geniálního programátora se postupně stal aktivista, který si začal uvědomovat, že technologie jsou dobrý sluha, ale snadno zneužitelný pán. Internet považoval za demokratické médium a bojoval proti snaze úřadů a veřejných institucí redukovat prostřednictvím technologií občanské svobody a přístup k informacím. V roce 2011 čelil trestnímu stíhání za stahování článků akademického časopisu JSTOR. Kauza se před soud ale nikdy nedostala. Aaron si v šestadvaceti letech vzal život. Snímek o životě zázračného dítěte internetu otevírá otázku internetové bezpečnosti a vztahu technologií a občanských práv v současném světě.
